5 Points Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibit of new works by Teddy Devereux. In “Vitreous Humor”, Teddy explores the intersection of science and artistry through her sculptural and pictorial fused glass creations. Inspired by her long research career in Research Triangle Park, NC, these works embody the fluid, glassy nature of both the eye and her artistic medium. Capturing the intrinsic beauty of scientific concepts while infusing a sense of humor, Teddy invites viewers to see the world through an imaginative lens.
Be sure to drop by for our Third Friday Opening Reception on Friday, October 18th from 6 – 9pm and check out the offerings of our 9 local artists ranging from sculpture, painting, fused glass and mixed media. This exhibit will be on display in our downtown Durham gallery through November 9, 2024.
We are over the moon to welcome Durham artist Annie Nashold as a new member of 5 Points Gallery! “Storytelling is central to my work where images emerge through narrative portraits, abstracted figures, subconscious drawings, and family archives.” As colorful as it is evocative, Annie’s work is sure to delight!
