5 Points Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibit of new works by King Nobuyoshi Godwin. King’s art is a vibrant expression of his neurodiversity, shaped by the unique gifts of autism and synesthesia. His combined sensory experiences manifest in the scattered numbers that fill his paintings, intricately woven into the imagery, allowing him to convey emotions and ideas beyond verbal expression. For King, art is a space of renewal, where creation transcends language, offering a glimpse into his world beyond words.

Be sure to drop by for our Third Friday Opening Reception on Friday, November 15th from 6 - 9pm and check out the offerings of our nine local artists ranging from sculpture, painting, fused glass and mixed media. This exhibit will be on display in our downtown Durham gallery through December 21, 2024.

5 Points Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibit of new works by Teddy Devereux. In "Vitreous Humor", Teddy explores the intersection of science and artistry through her sculptural and pictorial fused glass creations. Inspired by her long research career in Research Triangle Park, NC, these works embody the fluid, glassy nature of both the eye and her artistic medium. Capturing the intrinsic beauty of scientific concepts while infusing a sense of humor, Teddy invites viewers to see the world through an imaginative lens.

We are over the moon to welcome Durham artist Annie Nashold as a new member of 5 Points Gallery! "Storytelling is central to my work where images emerge through narrative portraits, abstracted figures, subconscious drawings, and family archives." As colorful as it is evocative, Annie's work is sure to delight!

35 years ago, Jim McKeon's artistic path started in La Paz, Bolivia. Now he is coming full circle when he returns for a two month Residency in the renowned KIOSKO Gallery in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Jim will spend October and November painting, participating in the arts community and he will be the general face of the gallery!

5 Points Gallery in downtown Durham introduces a new exhibit featuring the work of artist Jim McKeon. The focus of the show is Jim’s epic new commission piece, Bridging The Gap, which will hang in the gallery for only the duration of the show before it goes into a private collection. Jim’s large scale pieces are often infused with local landmarks and current news while talking about the historical national issues of inequality and racism, as well as his take on the global issue of environmental warming.

So lean in and join us for our Third Friday Opening Reception on Friday April 21st from 6 - 9 pm. Artists will be on hand to talk about their works. On a lighter note, Susan Woodson's new paintings and mixed media pieces are loaded with color and a lot of fun!
