5 Points Gallery in downtown Durham introduces a new exhibit featuring the work of artist Jim McKeon. The focus of the show is Jim’s epic new commission piece, Bridging The Gap, which will hang in the gallery for only the duration of the show before it goes into a private collection. Jim’s large scale pieces are often infused with local landmarks and current news while talking about the historical national issues of inequality and racism, as well as his take on the global issue of environmental warming.
So lean in and join us for our Third Friday Opening Reception on Friday April 21st from 6 – 9 pm. Artists will be on hand to talk about their works. On a lighter note, Susan Woodson’s new paintings and mixed media pieces are loaded with color and a lot of fun!
